Movies made with hanging-embryo mounts (random DV/RL orientation for each embryo).
Integrated transgene array.
All three movies have the embryo misoriented with anterior to the right.
Earliest expression in 4 C-derived cells within an hour or two of fertilization. YFP remains very bright in posterior/dorsal hyp7 precursors until elongation begins. Cell fusion and perhaps decreased expression rapidly diminish this signal.
A variety of other lineages also express, with resulting fluorescence in a wide selection of tissues.
Several beautiful independently migrating cells are nicely highlighted and visible along much of their routes during morphogenesis.
